Border League Cricket. Border is the team representing the border region in domestic first class cricket in south africa the team began playing in march 1898. From ages 8 11 clubs regularly play non competitive kwik cricket tournaments throughout the summer with each club hosting a tournament each.
From ages 11 14 clubs take part in the border under 14 league and cup. And current border league champions gala cc founded by mill workers in 1853 have lasted longer than its more illustrious neighbours gala rfc 1875 and gala fairydean fc 1907. The new league will promote the participation and enjoyment of competitive cricket in the bishop s stortford area.
The league consists of three divisions.
